I grew up just outside of Durham, NC as a self-proclaimed “distracted kid” – often finding myself in trouble for having excessive energy and sketching in class.
While initially interested in graphic design and photography entering college, my path led me to higher ed. I’ve planned concerts, managed an outdoor adventure program, chaperoned international service trips, and everything in between. I didn’t reignite my passion for design and photography again until I was able to work with the creative student designers and photographers of DIDA, the Duke Innovation Design Agency, and then Pitch Story Lab, the student-run creative agency at Duke. For almost two decades, I’ve been able to mentor and learn from amazingly talented students. Today, I am able to harness the same energy initially deemed “distracting” as a child into creative, whimsical output.
Beyond Duke, I am a freelance photographer, designer, and illustrator. Contact me if you’re interested in my work or just want to connect.
